Amplivox Otowave 202 & 202‑H — Handheld Diagnostic Tympanometer with Reflex Testing
he Amplivox Otowave 202 Series provides fast and accurate middle‑ear diagnostics for all age groups—from neonates to adults. The base model includes 226 Hz tympanometry plus ipsilateral and contralateral reflex testing (0.5, 1, 2 & 4 kHz). The 202‑H option adds 1 kHz high‑frequency tympanometry with admittance, susceptance, and conductance outputs—ideal for infant testing.
Perform full tympanometry across +200 daPa to −400 daPa, with users able to control sweep speed (100/200/300 daPa/sec), and capture key metrics such as ear‑canal volume, compliance peak, pressure, and gradient. Reflex thresholds can be tailored per protocol, with each tested tone recorded graphically.
This ultra-portable unit (≈430 g with batteries, 330 g without) supports AA-batteries or mains power. It stores up to 16 patient records, offers infrared printing via portable thermal printer, and seamless USB export to Amplivox TympView or NOAH systems for EMR integration.
Standard accessories include probe assembly, range of disposable ear‑tips, thermal printer (optional), USB cable, and software.

Building on the success of the Otowave 102, the Otowave 202 adds in contralateral reflex testing as well as optional high frequency testing for neonates (202-H).
The Otowave 202 is the perfect instrument to help audiologists and hearing aid dispensers identify middle ear disorders, but also to differenciate conductive and sensorineural hearing issues in combination with an audiogram.
